“ELVIS” NBC TELEVISION - 1972

NBC asked me to create a poster and ad for what I called Elvis Presley’s “Rhinestones and Amphetamines” comeback to be broadcast live from Hawaii via the new satellite technology of the time. This was the apogee of the bejeweled jumpsuit era and placed The King firmly atop Mount Winnebago.
It was downhill for The King after this precarious resuscitation.
The original poster was printed on buff Arches Rag as a sepia DuoTone.
