"PEPE LE PEW" Art for Franklin Mint Plate by DAVID EDWARD BYRD 1995

$1,500.00

Water Color & Prisma Pencil on Board with Character Cell Overlay
A piece of art created as part of a series of comemorative plates for the Franklin Mint based on classic cartoons from the denizens of Termite Terrace, as the Warners Animation team referred to their digs in the 40s & 50s. This is from the 1949 Chuck Jones film“For Scent-imental Reasons”. The art has a round matte over a watercolor background over which an inked & painted cell of Pepe & Penelope is placed.
