"TEMPLE OF DREAMS" AMERICAN CINEMATHEQUE - 1985

$75.00

I created this poster with my partner, Jolino Beserra. He did the painting of the building in reverse on a blackline film positive. I rendered the sky on board and the film positive was mounted on top of this. The type below the image, which is gloss varnish on deep red-violet matte silkscreen, reads “Temple of Dreams.” The Cinematheque was raising money to restore the Pan-Pacific into a multi-theatre complex with film restoration facilities, restaurants, and a giftstore. It was unfortunately destroyed by an arson fire before the dream could be manifest. Unavailable elsewhere.
