In the Spring of 1979 I was asked by the management of this famed Deco Movie Palace to create a poster for the re-opening of the completely restored venue of 6000 seats --- which had kept it closed for over a year to make way for the refurbishment, which included the reweaving of all the original fabrics & carpets, the restoration of all the Donald Desky lobby furniture as well as the theater seats. The lobby mural by the staircase was cleaned & restored, & all the lighting was brought back to original specifications. The Original poster is almost impossible to find on the internet. Generally unavailable elsewhere.
