In January of 1978, my good friend Noel Monk became the road manager for The SEX PISTOLS First (& Last) American tour. Noel kept an amazing diary of the trip, which was subsequently published by William Morrow as "TWELVE DAYS ON THE ROAD: The Sex pistols in America" which is non-stop hilarious. Malcolm McLaren, the manager of the Pistols would not allow them to appear in the North of America, so they toured only the deep South & Southwest, ending in San Francisco on 14 January 1978.
