I think I got this job through Joel Grey as we often ate at the same health bar on 57th street. At any rate, this was a new Jerry Herman musical about the German invasion of Paris. Joel Grey plays a French Jew, Jacobowsky; but the centerpiece of the whole affair, and very much a character itself, is a large Citroën car. This car also became the centerpiece of my concept, and I attempted to give the car a lot of personality and insouciance. This is a personal favorite.
