Based on the Ben Hecht & Charles MacArthur film script which is a send-up of 1930s theatrical types -- Famed NY stage director Oscar Jaffe, down on his financial luck, & his former lover, actress Lily Garland. The entire show is set on the famed luxury train running between Chicago & NYC. Both director & cast received critical kudos for their feel for period farce -- but it was Adam Smith’s remarkable train-car set that was the biggest hit of this well-performed production.
